Molly’s Memories

Created by Sarah one year ago
One of my earliest memories of Brenda was her ability to unscrew wing nuts on her pram from a very young age. When taken out in her pram she would undo the nuts and Dad would need to get the pliers to tighten them up again. Those were the early signs of how strong Brenda would be. I have fond memories of us sisters meeting up for lunch. Brenda’s favourite place on these occasions was the Carpenters Arms at Stanton Wick. We would have a laugh and a general chat about the family and gardening. We would often discuss how successful the runner bean crop had been and the conversation usually went like this: Brenda would ask how many I had picked, I said 3. She would say 3lbs? I said “no, just 3 beans”. That always made us laugh. The pandemic put pay to meeting up more regularly but our phone calls kept everyone in contact. Brenda will always be remembered.
